The Maintenance Fees dashboard shows applications associated with your company or firm that have maintenance fees due in a given due date range. In addition, a user can set a maximum value score which designates fees associated with lower value patents as avoidable, requiring a deeper look before paying the maintenance fees.

Customize Settings

In the settings menu, users can select a date range to explore. Updating the date range will allow you to see your company's patents with maintenance fees due during that date range.

Users can also set a Minimum Patent Value score. This score assigns a value to each patent based on the number of forward citations a patent has received and how long it has been since the patent was issued:

((Num. Applicant Citations + Num. Examiner Citations + Num. Third Party Citations) / Num. Days since Issuance)*100

This value score impacts whether a patent is categorized as either "Maintain" or "Avoidable" (i.e. patents with low value scores that should be evaluated to determine whether or not to maintain the patent).

Dashboard

The Maintenance Fees dashboard displays metrics for the total dollar amount of maintenance fees due during your set date range as well as the total dollar value of fees due attributed to patents categorized as "Avoidable".

Additionally, a table is displayed which shows the individual patents that have maintenance fees due in the date range, the dollar amount of the fee, its categorization, and more.
