What's changing (and what isn't)

Juristat's new interface reorganizes how you access and interact with your data. The underlying intelligence hasn't changed: every examiner report, art unit breakdown, application record, and prosecution dataset is exactly where it's always been. What's new is how quickly you can get to it, and for users with you opt in to the chat experience (plans that include MCP), the ability to ask questions directly and get answers without navigating to the right page first.

The new interface is available on June 23, 2026 via a toggle at the bottom of the left sidebar. During the beta period, you can switch between the new and old interfaces anytime until September 1, 2026 when the new interface becomes the default for everyone.

The same data, reports, and insights you rely on as a current Juristat Analytics user will still be available; they're just now powering even more ways to work.

The new home page

If your plan includes chat, you'll land on a new home page when you log in (instead of dashboards). The home page is designed around getting you to your answer faster.

Chat input. A large search and chat input sits front and center. You can type any question — "What's the allowance rate for examiner Scott Smith?" or "Pull the latest office action for app 17/234,891" — and get a direct answer from Juristat's data without navigating to a specific report. Press Enter or click Send to start.

Recent chats. Your most recent conversations appear on the left side of the home page so you can pick up where you left off without hunting through a list.

Coming soon: Agent Studio quick links. If you use agents, a scrollable row of pre-built agents appears just below the chat input. You can star any agent to pin it to your favorites and have it appear first in the row — and in your sidebar.

Updated sidebar navigation

The left sidebar has been reorganized to make the most-used parts of Juristat easier to reach.

Analytics section. Examiners, Art Units, Tech Centers, Companies, and Firms now appear as named destinations in a collapsible Analytics section, not just as search results. Click any of these to go directly to that report type.

Datasets section. Applications, Office Actions, Appeals, Citations, Re-Examinations, and Private Data are grouped in a collapsible Datasets section below Analytics.

Workflow Automation. Depending on your Juristat subscription, you may also access OARs, IDSs, and client configuration options organized in a collapsible Workflow Automation section at the bottom of the sidebar. The same tools, just easier to scan.

Collapsed sidebar mode. Click the arrow at the top of the sidebar to collapse it to icon-only mode if you want more screen space. Hover over any icon to see a tooltip label.

Using in-app chat (chat-enabled / MCP plans)

For users on plans that include chat, the chat interface is available both from the home page and from the Chats item in the sidebar.

Asking questions. Type your question in plain language. Juristat will query its best-in-class USPTO data and return a direct answer — allowance rates, examiner patterns, prosecution history, office action details, and more. You don't need to know which report or filter to use; just ask what you want to know.

Viewing chat history. All past conversations are saved and accessible from the Chats page in the sidebar. Click any conversation to continue it or review prior answers.

Coming soon: Choosing a chat agent. A small agent selector appears in the bottom left of the chat input. The default is the Research agent, which handles most general questions. If you're working on a specific task (e.g. strategy, analysis) you can switch agents from this menu.

Coming Soon: Agent Studio

Agent Studio is a library of pre-built workflows for common prosecution tasks. Each agent guides you through a structured multi-step process using Juristat's data.

Available agents include:

  • OA Strategy Brief — prepare office action response context and build an argument strategy

  • Claims Tracer — track how claims have changed across prosecution rounds

  • Examiner Intel — analyze examiner patterns, allowance rates, and rejection tendencies

  • Competitive Landscape — map competitor filing activity and identify technology gaps

  • Portfolio Health — review risk and strength signals across active applications

  • Business Development — identify opportunities to expand firm practice areas

  • Firm Benchmarking — compare firm performance by domain, allowance rate, and time to disposition

  • OA Response Draft — generate a first-draft office action response ready for attorney review

  • Claim Scope Summary — draft a plain-language claim scope summary for client reporting

  • Patent Q&A — ask questions about any patent, prosecution history, or portfolio

To run an agent, navigate to Agent Studio in the sidebar and select the workflow you want to run. You'll be guided through inputs and steps.

Starring agents. Click the star icon on any agent card to add it to your favorites. Favorited agents appear at the front of the Agent Studio row on the home page and in a Favorite Agents section in the sidebar for quick access.

Files

A Files section is available in the sidebar for users with chat and agents enabled. This is where you can upload and manage documents to reference in chat or agent workflows.

Switching between new and old interface

If you'd prefer to stay on the old interface for now, that's completely fine. Click Return to Old UI at the bottom of the left sidebar at any time.

The toggle is available through September 1, 2026 when the new interface becomes the only option. Between now and then, you can switch back and forth as many times as you'd like. Nothing about your data, saved filters, dashboards, or workflow configurations will change.

If you have feedback on the new interface, click Have feedback on our new UI? just below the Return button. We use responses to improve the experience.

Frequently asked questions

Is any of my existing data affected? No. All of your examiner reports, dashboards, saved filter sets, workflow configurations, and application data are exactly the same. The new interface changes how you navigate to that data, not the data itself.

What if I don't see a home page when I log in? If your plan does not include chat, your default landing page will be dashboards, the same as before. You'll still have access to the new sidebar navigation and the toggle.

Where did my dashboards go? Dashboards are still there. Click Dashboards in the sidebar to navigate there directly. If you're on an Analytics-only plan, dashboards remain your home page.

Will my saved filter sets and alerts carry over? Yes. Everything you've saved — filter sets, alerts, bookmarks — carries over to the new interface automatically.

What is the September 1 cutover? On September 1, the old interface will be retired and the new interface will be the only option. If you have chat enabled, you'll land on the new home page. If you're on an Analytics-only plan, you'll land on dashboards. Either way, all your data and configurations remain intact.

I want to try out the chat interface or have questions about upgrading my plan. Reach out to your Customer Success rep or contact us at support@juristat.com. If you're on an Analytics-only plan and want to explore adding chat and Data Layer (MCP) before your renewal date, ask your rep about available incentives.
