Overview

The MCP Credit Usage page gives you a real-time view of your Juristat credit consumption, tools to manage your spending, and the ability to buy more credits.

What are MCP credits?

MCP credits track the tool calls you make through the Juristat MCP server when using the chat feature in the app (for MCP-enabled plans) and through AI tools like Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or ChatGPT. Each time the MCP server runs a tool (e.g. pulling examiner analytics, retrieving an office action, or generating an OA strategy brief) it uses credits from your subscription.

Accessing your MCP Usage page from the app:

From the Juristat Analytics app, find the Settings page from clicking on the carrot menu next to your username in the lower lefthand corner.

What you can do on this page

Once you reach the Settings page, click on the tab named "MCP Usage" to see the dashboard.

Access your MCP Credentials
To connect your Juristat account with an LLM via MCP server, you'll need your specific credentials.

View your usage
Every Juristat user can see how many credits they've used against their subscription as well as a current credit limit so you always know where you stand.

Explore the full list of tools and associated credit usage
You can preview the tool calls available via Data Layer MCP and their associated costs.

Additional information accessible via Admin-only view:

Set a monthly spending target
Juristat subscriptions include an annual pool of credits that any organizational user can draw from during the subscription period. To help manage usage, you can set a suggested monthly target or leave it open-ended. A target does not cap usage. It helps you pace the annual pool and spot a likely overage before it happens. Set or change your target by clicking "Edit target."

Turn on email alerts
Enable or disable notifications when your usage reaches defined milestones. By default, email notifications are sent at 25%, 75%, and 100% of your annual credit allotment so you're never caught off guard. To alter your notification settings, click the bell icon.

Buy more credits
You're able to add credit packs to your plan at any time. When your remaining credits drop to 25% or below, the MCP Usage page will project when you're likely to run out and give you the option to purchase additional credits on the spot. Additionally, you can access the customer billing portal from the MCP Usage page. You can purchase additional credits at any point of your subscription by emailing sales@juristat.com.

See team usage
Admins and Solo-tier users see an organization-wide breakdown showing usage by team member. This makes it easier to manage budgets across a firm or team.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if I run out of credits?
MCP tool calls made beyond your subscription's allotted credits will be billed at an overage rate of $1.25/credit. If you wish to disable overages and have your MCP / in-app chat access turned off once you deplete your credits, email sales@juristat.com. Additional credits can be purchased at any time directly from the MCP Usage page.

Why don't I see credit purchase or limit controls?
These controls are available to Admins and Solo-tier users only. If you're an end user at a firm or company, your admin manages credit settings for the organization. Email support@juristat.com to set or enable Admin permissions.
