Once connected, Juristat becomes an available source that Solve can draw on automatically. Ask about examiner behavior, office action trends, allowance rates, appeals, or prosecution strategy in plain language, and Solve will pull the relevant Juristat data into its recommended response.
Part 1: Connect Your Juristat Account
Step 1: Open your account menu
In Solve, click your name in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar to open your account menu, then select Settings.
Step 2: Go to Connectors
In Settings, select Connectors from the left-hand menu. Under External tools, find the Juristat card and click Connect.
Step 3: Review permissions and continue
A dialog explains what connecting Juristat allows: Solve's AI can send text to Juristat (including content from your conversation), and content Juristat returns is stored in your Solve conversations. Your organization's existing Juristat agreement still applies. Click Continue to Juristat.
Step 4: Log in to Juristat
You'll be taken to the Juristat login screen where you can enter your credentials.
Step 5: Authorize the connection
Juristat will ask you to authorize “MCP Partner – Solve” to access your account. Review the request and click Accept.
Step 6: Confirm the connection
Once back on the Connectors page in Solve, ensure that Juristat MCP is connected, displaying a Connected badge. You can also check that Juristat is listed as one of your connected “Sources” from the chat within Solve at any time.
You're now ready to start accessing Juristat data within Solve.
Part 2: Using Juristat in Solve
Ask naturally in chat
For best results, preface your questions about examiner trends, allowance rates, art units, prosecution metrics, or other Juristat data with “Using Juristat,” or by naming Juristat explicitly in your prompt.
Solve shows its work as it queries Juristat and returns a data-backed answer, complete with tables and sourced figures. You can always see what information came from Juristat by looking for steps like “Looked up USPTO application metrics in Juristat” (outlined below).
Use it inside a drafting workspace
In addition to accessing Juristat MCP from the Assistant module, Juristat data is also available from the chat panel while you're drafting in a Prosecution workspace, for example, while working on an Office Action response. Ask about the examiner or art unit directly, and Solve pulls Juristat's examiner and office-action analytics into the conversation, then ties them to strategy recommendations for the draft you're editing.
Tip Because Juristat is tied to your own account, the data and analytics you see reflect your organization's Juristat access, with the same records and reports you'd get by logging into Juristat directly. |
