How does Juristat determine an expert's hourly rate?
We estimate the hourly rate based on what the expert reported in their most recent declaration. This way, you always have the most recent data to help you gauge cost.
If an expert's rate is listed as "Unknown," it's likely that the specific hourly rate wasn't disclosed in the most recent declaration (i.e., the expert stated, "I'm being compensated at my standard hourly rate.").
